As an internationally active pharmaceutical company, STADA Consumer Health & STADAPHARM GmbH is subject to high regulatory requirements while simultaneously undergoing a comprehensive digital transformation. In close partnership, Manage Now supports this long-standing customer on this journey – from the transition from the CMO model to modern FMO operations to targeted support for the SAP RISE migration. The focus is on reliability, flexibility, and IT operations that meet regulatory requirements as well as economic and technical demands.

Challenges

The collaboration between STADA and Manage Now has existed for several years and continues to evolve – both technically and strategically. The focus is currently on the following key challenges:

• Regulatory requirements in the GxP environment: As a pharmaceutical company, STADA must comply with strict regulations. This requires qualified IT personnel with in-depth GxP expertise, and technically complex migration from CMO to FMO: The migration of existing systems into the new operating model is carried out under high requirements for stability and availability – with the goal of minimizing system interruptions. Particularly demanding: The Citrix rebuild was implemented entirely without downtime.
• Transformation to SAP RISE and increasing focus on security: STADA requires a flexible IT partner who closely aligns with its own project planning, provides targeted support, and proactively considers security aspects.

In addition, the temporary parallel operation of CMO and FMO structures as well as a partly unclear architecture of existing systems place particular demands on transparency and coordination

Solution

Manage Now supports STADA with a structured, solution-oriented approach and a clear focus on stability, compliance, and flexibility.

Gradual migration to the ServiceHub: The transition takes place in several stages over a period of more than two years. Even though there were delays due to internal restructuring at STADA and the development status of the ServiceHub at that time, the migration is being continuously driven forward together.

Support is provided centrally via the Manage Now ServiceHub. The hosted EDI system is operated via remote access; operations take place in close coordination with Customer Success Management.

Successful migration of the IT systems into the ServiceHub: Even under demanding regulatory conditions, the transition was completed with minimal disruption – in some cases even without downtime.

• Stable, secure operating platform for business-critical systems: From SAP hosting to Lobster EDI, all central IT services run reliably in the Manage Now ServiceHub.
• Close day-to-day collaboration and ongoing further development: A jointly conducted service improvement workshop in May shows the continuous aspiration of both sides to further improve processes.
• Future-ready IT through selective support: In the SAP RISE migration as well as in the expansion of the security structures, Manage Now continues to provide flexible support.
